'Mom' Season 1, Episode 17: 'Jail Jail and Japanese Porn' Recap

Regina asks Christy if she will be a character witness at her trial, in hopes of reducing her sentence.

Christy goes off to help a friend, Denise, move. Bonnie thinks she's going to go see her boyfriend, the stoner fireman David.

In bed with him, he tells Christy he's falling in love with her. She agrees she is falling as well. He wants her to stay, so she calls in sick.

She sneaks home, pretending she was at work, but Bonnie has had a call from Gabriel and the jig is up. Christy admits she has been spending her time with David, and Bonnie tells her she has been forgetting important things at home in the meantime.

At work, Christy asks Rudy if he's still selling weed, and he takes her into the freezer where she attempts to buy a few joints.

Walking to her car with a few drugs in hands, she's startled by Regina. She gives her a box of some money to hold so it's not seized.

At home, Violet, Bonnie, and Gabriel are waiting for a planned intervention. Christy storms off to David. However, she finds him making out with a girl in his elevator. She breaks up with him.

Christy hasn't shown up for Regina's trial, so Bonnie steps in as a character witness. It doesn't go well. Luckily Christy shows up and takes the stand.

Unluckily, she begins to cry and rant about David.

Regina gets four years.
