'The Mindy Project' Season 3, Episode 7: 'We Need to Talk About Annette' Recap

Hanging with Danny, Mindy is forced to admit that she illegally downloads movies and music. She starts to play a new movie she has downloaded, but it turns out to be a massive virus.

At dinner, Annette mentions she is taking a water aerobics class. Mindy decides they need to go shopping for a new swim suit for her.

Peter sleeps with Abby, who isn't a typical "girl" type, and just wants to hang out and have fun. He's baffled by how fun and comfortable she is.

Mindy and Annette go shopping, and Mindy is talked into buying her a bunch of stuff. As she is talking with the shop lady, Mindy notices Annette stealing a jacket.

Annette gives the stolen jacket to Danny. Mindy wants to say something, but Annette goes on about how she and Mindy have bonded, so she bites her tongue.

Abby invites Peter to the Electric Insanity Ball, an all-night dance party. He is on call though and can't go. Mindy offers to cover for him.

Tamra can't find the charm bracelet that Morgan bought her. The last time she saw it, she was showing it off to Annette. Mindy goes to Annette's house and suggests Annette may have "accidentally" taken it. Annette is offended. Tamra finds the bracelet on her ankle, but the damage is done. Annette texts Danny what happened.

Danny tells Peter that Mindy can no longer cover for him, as she has to go to dinner with his family.

At dinner, Annette layers on the Catholic guilt, but Mindy breaks down and tells them that she saw Annette steal the jacket. Danny believes Annette when she claims her brain went hazy and she took the jacket, but then brought it back and paid. However when they hug, her watch catches on the ink tag, ripping it off.

They take the jacket back, but things backfire when the woman at the desk says the jacket was over $500, and it might therefore count as a felony. They all make a break for it.

Peter, sober, is called from the dance party and delivers a baby. He realizes that Abby, while fun, might be too irresponsible for him after all, and breaks up with her.
