'The Mindy Project' Season 3, Episode 10: 'What About Peter?' Recap

Dating Danny is great, but sometimes Mindy needs a pinch hitter for events he won't go to - enter Peter. This is how she sees Peter's apartment for the first time, and realizes he essentially lives in a frat with a bunch of other dudes.

Jeremy volunteers to watch baby Henry for the weekend so Lauren can go track down her groupie sister.

Danny is getting his second apartment ready to rent, so he has his contractor come and put up a new backsplash. He wonders how much it would be to just knock down the wall between the apartments and combine them... for the future. For family.

Things with Peter's roommates are getting worse, and it's making it harder for him to bring decent women home. He can't find his own place because no one will rent to him. Mindy has a brain wave.

Danny is reluctant, but Mindy convinces him to let Peter have the apartment. Peter repays them by making a pot roast, and then goes back to sleep on the floor since his roommates stabbed his water bed. Mindy insists he spend the night with them.

The next day, Danny thinks he's getting into the shower with Mindy. Yeah, it's Peter. Danny bans him from the apartment.

Things are not going well with Jeremy's babysitting adventure. Morgan comes to help him just as Jeremy gives up. Baby Henry says "Peter." Jeremy becomes determined to make the kid like him. During a struggle with Morgan, Jeremy hurts himself and Henry giggles, so Jeremy continues to injure himself to make the baby laugh. He finally gets Henry to sleep, and realizes he hasn't thought his relationship with Lauren all the way through.

The contractor comes to change the locks for Danny, and mentions knocking down the walls for "family." Mindy is elated. She kicks Peter out immediately. He promises to be gone by morning. They hear music, and go over to find Peter having a huge party and trashing the place. Mindy yells at him about ruining it before she can move in. Danny explains that he wanted to expand so he had a place for his mother to move into.

Peter does a slip 'n slide and ends up out the window. Danny visits him in the hospital and tells him he can stay in the apartment. He goes to find Mindy, who is cleaning up from the party, and says he envisioned his mother living there way in the future. He invites her to move in, but she tells him that he should ask her again when he is more certain and not so clearly nervous.
