'The Mindy Project' Season 2, Episode 7: 'Sk8r Man' Recap

As Mindy walks to work, she is knocked over by a man on a skateboard (Timothy Olyphant). He invites her to get a burrito and introduces himself as Graham Logan.

Mindy and Danny go to a dinner party, where Mindy is seated next to an attractive man named Chaz. Unfortunately, he brings a wife with him. She realizes she is seated at the couples table rather than the singles. She confronts her friends who say that they are tired of trying to set her up with men because she is too picky.

Jeremy is having a hard time managing the practice. His father comes in to see his son. He's in town for the night, and takes a liking to Peter. He invites him to dinner with him and Jeremy.

At work Mindy complains that Danny agreed she was too picky about men. Peter tries to set her up with his loser friend but she rejects the idea. Upset, she goes and finds Graham. She asks if the offer to go out still stands.

Mindy texts Danny that she is going out with a skater boy, so she is not picky. Graham comes in for their date, coming in through the window. He shows her all his scars and tattoos. She cleans up his scratched elbow.

Peter goes out to dinner with Jeremy and his dad, and the two make fun of him for having gained weight.

Mindy and Graham go out for their burrito. Afterward he suggests they go get high. She notes that she's attracted to him but when he talks, he is stupid. So no. She drops her cell phone in the subway rails, and Graham rescues it. Amazed, Mindy kisses him.

Jeremy is mad at Peter the next morning. Peter and his father went out to a casino and had a great time without him.

Mindy skates awkwardly around the office. Danny thinks she is just trying to make a point. She insists they all go out to dinner. Her with Graham, and Danny can bring the really boring girl from the party, to prove he is not picky.

Jeremy and Peter start to run a childbirth class, but they respond more to Peter. Jeremy gets irritated. He has a break down about his father.

Dinner is not going well. Danny takes Mindy aside to insist she admit that Graham is a loser. As they argue, Graham decides they're dining and dashing.

The try to jump a fence in the alley, but Mindy won't. She gets stuck trying to squeeze through. She tells Graham it won't work out between them. He snaps off his pants and skateboards off.

Danny takes his date home, but she is so dull he falls asleep when she tries to kiss him. He goes back to the restaurant, where Mindy has returned to finish their food and pay. They both admit they were just trying to prove a point.
