'The Mindy Project' Season 2, Episode 13: 'L.A.' Recap

Jeremy sends Peter, Mindy, Morgan and Danny to L.A. to become certified in cosmetic injectables. Mindy and Peter are thrilled, but Danny hates L.A.

Mindy packs as Cliff tells her he has to move out of his apartment. Mindy invites him to move in since things are going so well. He will think about it.

On the plane, Morgan is excited to sight-see, but Danny wants to stay at his hotel. His dad lives in L.A. and he worries he may run into him. Mindy tells Danny what happened between her and Cliff, worried since Cliff didn't agree right away, but Danny thinks that's a good thing.

Peter and Mindy tool around in a convertible. He shows her the necklace he bought for his new girlfriend, Maria Menounos.

Danny goes to the front desk to see why his key doesn't work, to find out that Morgan has already checked him out. He's been hiding in the hotel all week and Morgan insists that they need to go out and have fun.

Mindy and Peter go shopping... and find Casey working at a shoe store. She finds out he owns the store. The two go for a walk, and he tells her he took her advice to pick a job and stick with it. He now has a house on the beach.

She tells him she's moving in with her new boyfriend. He invites her to a new shoe launch pool party, but she thinks she shouldn't go. At her hotel, as she studies, she turns on the T.V. to see Peter on EN. He asks for Maria, but is told she's in Hawaii with her boyfriend, and gets choked out by security.

At the hotel, Peter is checking out the party online and insists they must go. Mindy gets a call from Cliff, who found an apartment. He tells her he's still thinking about them together. She tells him she ran into Casey, and he says just not to have dinner with him. She agrees.

She and Peter go to the party.

Morgan takes Danny around L.A., which is really fun. Morgan admits he called Danny's dad and made plans for them to get dinner the next night. Richie got a hold of Morgan and told him to get the two connected. Danny goes back to the hotel and ditches Morgan in the Old West.

Peter gets invited to go hang with Jerry Ferrara but gets a text from Morgan asking for help. He goes down to give Morgan his hotel key, and can't get back into the party.

Casey tries to get Mindy to hang out with her but she avoids him. Finally, she goes swimming, and finds Casey in the pool. He admits he was trying to impress her, and she tells him about Cliff saying he'd think about moving in with her. Casey tells her if something is meant to be it's meant to be. Then he tries to have sex with her and Mindy leaves.

Danny leaves a message on Mindy's phone, which has died, asking for advice. He debates and finally dials his dad, Allen.

Mindy goes back to her hotel and plugs her phone in. She calls Cliff and tells him it's okay if he doesn't want to move in yet. He tells her that he was going to call her and move in together... but now they have to break up. Pictures from the party are up online, including one of her and Casey in the pool. He ends it, unable to trust her.
