Taking guesses here: about how low does wishing death upon Miley Cyrus rank among the internet's great achievements in trolling?
And here, we thought Bieber Fever got people a little loco.
Whatever your opinion, that's what the ex-"Hannah Montana" star and Disney darling coped with before she and her boyfriend, 19-year-old "The Hunger Games" co-star Liam Hemsworth, dealt with before attending Sunday night's Academy Awards. A user apparently using the handle "@thecyrusslut" got vicious enough that the abusive little troll wished Cyrus dead, reports E! Online today. The tweet with the death threat can no longer be found, but there is this little gem:

Give Cyrus this much: she didn't bend low enough to reach the troll's level when replying.

Nevertheless, she still expressed an urgency that Twitter could use some policing against threats like these.
