Miley Cyrus Posts Nude Photo to Challenge Instagram
by Andy Neuenschwander
Miley Cyrus can't stop...getting photos deleted off of Instagram.
The singer is the latest to join a movement of female Instagram users dedicated to leveling the playing field in terms of the photo sharing site's terms of use.
Currently, Instagram does not allow women to post any topless photos exposing their nipples and quickly deletes any posted pics. Considering the fact that Instagram does not to the same to men, many women consider the practice to be sexist.
Miley took her turn in protesting against Instagram by posting a black and white, topless photo of herself last night. She noted in her caption that "some lame ass deff gonna [flag] dat," and included the movement's hashtag, #FreeTheNipple."
Sure enough, Instagram quickly deleted the photo. You can check out the uncensored photo here.
Miley joins a long list of celebrities supporting the cause, including Rumer Willis and Chelsea Handler. Handler got into a short and public argument with Instagram as she posted the same comedic topless photo three times, while Instagram continually deleted it. Handler deleted her Instagram account after that out of protest.
