'Mike & Molly' Season 3, Episode 18: 'Spring Break' Recap
by Shannon KeirnanMike send in his final credit card payment, meaning the final card is paid off. Molly suggests the celebrate by sending in a romantic get-away. He suggests they cut her credit card in half.
“I would just prefer not to raise our baby in a shopping cart under the bridge.”
He forces her to cut the card up. As revenge she takes out his hidden candy bar from the freezer, and tell him he can put it down the garbage disposal.
Mike tells Carl about making Molly cut up the card. He says he doesn’t like having to be the responsible one. Carl suggests they put in for some overtime. He says the Captain is their key to getting a spot.
Vincent asks Molly what her plans are for spring break, but she says they’re just staying in Chicago. He tries to help her think of things to do around the city. They all suck.
Mike goes to the Captain and asks for a selective duty job. The Captain says those jobs are for senior members. Mike guilts him about trying to get money set aside for the baby, and suggests he might mention it to his mother that the Captain is standing in his way.
Victoria is going on a trip for spring break to blow off her college steam. She invites Molly, who wants to go, but she says she can’t. Victoria says everything is paid for except food and booze.
Molly calls Mike, in the squad car, and asks to go to Daytona Beach with Victoria. Good thing he agreed, because the girls are already on their way.
Carl and Mike get to their new job—guarding dead bodies at the morgue. Carl tells Mike about the time that he saw his dead Uncle Jesse appear, scaring them both.
Victoria is drunk and happy, but Molly just needs a nap.
Joyce and Mike talk about how he is trying to bring in extra money. Joyce warns him that moments pass quickly, and to treasure them rather than wasting all his time earning money.
Molly comes back to the hotel room, red as a beet. She fell asleep reading a magazine by the pool and Victoria left her—for eight hours. She sticks her head in the cooler and screams.
Mike and Carl eat Chinese at the morgue, and Mike says how his father was never home when he was growing up. Molly calls him, and Mike rushes off. He flies down to Daytona, putting the money on the credit card. Molly is glad he came.
“This is where I’m supposed to be.”
Mike and Molly head back. They enjoyed their weekend relaxing and watching TV in the hotel. Victoria pops up in the back and tells them she’s going to be sick again.
