Mid-Season TV Schedules: Who's In and Who's Out

Mid-Season TV Schedules: Who's In and Who's Out Now that the volatile first couple of months of the fall TV season are out of the way, new series are falling into a stable ratings groove, and networks have begun the process of pruning and rearranging their schedules for the second half of the season. This week, both ABC and Fox announced their mid-season schedules, and there were some notable changes at both networks.

At Fox, the schedule will undergo some major shuffling, and two series will disappear, at least for awhile. The network is pulling both "Dads" and 'The Mindy Project"; "Dads" will disappear in mid-February, and 'The Mindy Project" will leave the line-up after a "winter finale" at the end of January. The network specifically plans to bring "The Mindy Project" back in April, but there are no official plans for "Dads" to return; Fox won't say that the series is cancelled, but its future looks bleak.

Meanwhile, "Glee" will move from Thursdays back to Tuesdays, where it will be followed by "New Girl" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." New drama "Rake" will premiere on January 23, and "The Following" returns on January 19.

Over at ABC, similar shifts are afoot. Weak performers "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" and "Betrayal" will leave the schedule; "Wonderland" will be back in the spring, but "Betrayal" is facing the same kind of de facto cancellation as "Dads."

"Revenge" will move from 9pm to 10pm on Sundays, and "Resurrection" will take its old slot. New series "Mixology" and "Killer Women" will enter the schedule--the former taking over for the most-likely-cancelled "Super Fun Night"--and "Suburgatory" will return in mid-January.
