Michael Jackson's Security Guard: Murray Said Jackson Had A 'Bad Reaction'

Alberto Alvarez, Michael Jackson's personal security guard, testified Thursday in Dr. Conrad Murray's manslaughter trial that Murray told him Jackson had a "bad reaction" to medication the afternoon Jackson died, shortly before telling Alvarez to start bagging up Jackson's various medications.

Jackson was in fine spirits June 24, 2009, the evening before Jackson's death, Alvarez testified. When Alvarez reached Jackson's home that evening to prepare the residence for Jackson's post-rehearsal arrival, he recalled a BMW he identified as Murray's being at the residence when he arrived.

Alvarez recounted receiving a phone call from a Jackson assistant at Jackson's home's security trailer around 12:18 PM the next day summoning him to the performer's bedside without causing a "commotion."

He claims he arrived at Jackson's second-floor bedroom as Murray was headed toward it. He then said he witnessed Murray administering chest compressions to an apparently unconscious Jackson, who was laid out on the bed.

As Jackson's daughter Paris came to the room and screamed "Daddy!", Alvarez said Murray ordered him to restrain Jackson's children.

"Don't let them see their dad that way," Alvarez claimed Murray instructed him.

When Alvarez returned and asked Murray what happened, Alvarez claims Murray told him it had been a "bad reaction." Alvarez also claimed he saw a urine-collecting condom catheter attached to Jackson's penis but no oxygen tanks or IV stands beside Jackson's bed.

Murray then grabbed what Alvarez claimed was a "handful" of vials before ordering that he put them first in a plastic bag, then a brown paper bag and finally a blue bag. Alvarez admittedly didn't question Murray's request. Murray then allegedly asked that Alvarez pack only one of the two saline bags present, the one that had a vial in it and a "milky white substance" at the bag's bottom. Alvarez claims he believed the supplies were being packed for the hospital at that time.

When shown an IV bag and Propofil vial - the medication that the prosecution claims caused Jackson's fatal overdose - Alvarez claimed they looked the same as the bag and vial that he saw that afternoon in Jackson's bedroom.

TMZ reports that Jackson's personal chef Kai Jackson also took the stand today and described the importance Jackson placed on his clean diet. She claimed his breakfast was regularly granola and almond milk with beet, orange or carrot juice, or a vegetable omelette.

She prepared Jackson granola the day he died before going grocery shopping around 9:45 AM, she testified. She returned, found everything in order and started preparing Jackson's lunch. Between when she described as 12:05 and 12:10 PM, she said Murray entered the kitchen looking "frantic" and told her "Get help, get (Jackson's son) Prince, get security."

She also said Murray never asked that she call 911.
