Michael Jackson Would've Never Fled, Says Attorney

One of Michael Jackson's siblings talking out of his @$$? In other shocking developments, the sky turns blue, grass turns out to be green and bacon tastes awesome.

The attorney that got the King of Pop acquitted of child molestation charges in 2005 claims that Jermaine Jackson's recent claims that the Jackson family would've helped Michael skip the country if he'd been found guilty are more than a little far-fetched. This according to reports from TMZ.

Tom Mesereau claims that during the trial, Santa Barbara, California police considered the possibility that violence might ensue if a jury found Jackson guilty. He also claims police expressed particular concern about the Nation of Islam seeking retaliation.

With that in mind, the plan in place would've seen Jackson taken into immediate custody and taken via helicopter to a Lompoc, CA. prison facility. He'd have never been out of a law-enforcement officers sight, let alone custody. Mesereau also claims that Jackson was nothing less than cooperative during the proceedings and never once discussed fleeing.

Jermaine previously told the London Times that had his brother been found guilty, the family would've helped him flee to Bahrain, because the Middle Eastern nation doesn't have an extradition agreement with U.S. authorities. He claims the family went so far as to have a plane on call, but that Michael knew nothing of the plan himself. Still, Jermaine said, the family would've talked Michael into leaving.

"If they were going to sit and crucify my brother for something that he didn't do, America deserves us not to come back here," Jermaine said.

Take his claims for what they're worth. He has an autobiography hitting shelves soon dishing on his brother, as well as a succession of "Good Morning America" and "Nightline" interviews on ABC this week.
