Megyn Kelly Slams the White House for Hiring Alleged Sexual Harassment Enabler
by EG
Donald Trump has made no secret of the fact that he tends to believe men accused of sexual harassment rather than the women who accuse them, and he doubled down on that tendency this week by hiring Bill Shine, the former Fox News exec who has been accused of covering up sexual harassment at the network. Both former Fox News host Megyn Kelly and current Fox News personality Gretchen Carlson say that Shine covered for Roger Ailes, the former Fox News Chairman who allegedly sexually harassed them. Shine was fired by Fox News, but now he's been hired as Deputy Chief of Staff by Trump. Read on for details on the controversy.

Megyn Kelly took to her Twitter on Thursday to blast the wife of the new White House Deputy Chief of Staff Bill Shine after it emerged that she tweeted about the women who have accused Fox News execs of sexual assault.
Darla Shine deleted her Twitter account on Thursday, just an hour after her husband was announced as the new White House Deputy Chief of Staff, the Huffington Post reported.
One tweet from Darla asked how producers planned to make a film about Roger Ailes and use Charlize Theron to play as Kelly.
Kelly's book, Settle For More, details how Ailes would make passes at her and worked to exert power over her.
To Darla Shine - yes, it was indeed an “awkward hug” between me (then a 2d year reporter) & my then-boss, the CEO Ailes, especially when in his locked office he tried to make out w/me & then demanded to know when my contract was up after I shoved him off. https://t.co/7aqJjTk7DZ

Oh and Darla got to spew crap about me without any repercussions but women who are harassed and forced into secret arbitration or settlements can’t say s—-. Go figure https://t.co/Ka6eVJAhOu

Shine insinuated that Kelly wasn't credible and claimed that the most harassment resulted at most to an 'awkward hug.'
'To Darla Shine - yes, it was indeed an 'awkward hug' between me (then a 2d year reporter) & my then-boss, the CEO Ailes,' Kelly said on Twitter Thursday, sharing a link to the Huffington Post article.
'Especially when in his locked office he tried to make out w/me & then demanded to know when my contract was up after I shoved him off.'
Darla's husband had been fired by Rupert Murdoch on May 21 after reports accused both former Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes and host Bill O'Reilly of sexual misconduct.
