Megan Fox Admits She Doesn't Have Many Friends
by Shannon KeirnanIn an interview with "Cosmopolitan," Megan Fox opens up about her friendships, or lack thereof.
"I consider myself a 'girl's girl' in that I'm not competitive, jealous, or catty," says the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" star.
"But I don't have a ton of female friends - I have one. Her name is Mindy and she's a facialist. I don't have many guy friends, either. I've never been a social butterfly. I don't feel lonely or isolated. I have one really great friend and that's all I need."
Don't forget that the 28-year-old also has husband Brian Austin Green for companionship, and two sons to keep her busy.
The actress' words, however, are drawing Internet comparisons to Angelina Jolie. Fox has been compared to the beauty before in the looks department, a resemblance she calls "a lack of creativity on the media's part," but in 2012 Jolie told Marie Claire a similar story.
"I have a few girlfriends. I just... I stay at home a lot. I don't do a lot with them, and I'm very homebound. I talk to my family. I talk to Brad... But I don't know, I don't have a lot of friends I talk to."
Should we feel a little bad, is this just a case of busy working mothers keeping it real?
Fox also discusses female empowerment in the issue, and says she keeps flirting out of the workplace.
"When I'm working, I refuse to flirt. If someone tries, it becomes an endless roast. I'll say, 'Nice beard, buddy,' or 'You look fancy!' I know he's spent an hour doing that specific thing to his hair, and the minute I point it out, his game is shattered... I like to have men off their guard. Then you are in charge. You don't ever have to feel like men have power over you."
She adds, "Women don't have to be so desperate and try so hard. Allow yourself to be strong and powerful and men will be crawling on their knees."
