Meet Some of the New Characters from 'Girl Meets World'

Meet Some of the New Characters from 'Girl Meets World' Some new characters have been revealed for the upcoming “Girl Meets World”, the spiritual successor to “Boy Meets World”.

Disney Channel seems to be on the hunt for some more child stars, as more casting calls go out.

It was revealed a while back that the series would focus on Riley Matthews, the daughter of Cory and Topanga. And it was announced earlier that she would be played by Rowan Blanchard. Well, it seems the Matthews family is still growing.

A description for the role of Elliot Matthews has been released. He’s Riley’s older brother. He is described as a philosophical jock of sorts, as well as “good looking, well built, funny, and insightful.” He seems to take pleasure in picking on his little sister, though. It’s also revealed that Cory and Topanga worry that he’s inherited his Uncle Eric’s “Algernon gene”, and will progressively get dumber, much like his Uncle.

Another new face is that of Tristan Friar. He’s a transplant from Austin, Texas, so his cowboy common sense and ethics make him stand out. Riley is attracted to his value system, and wants to be his friend, however she finds him too good looking to look at.

And who could forget the resident nerd? In “Boy Meets World”, it was Minkus who filled that role. This time around, it’s Shamus Farkle. He aspires to take over the world one day, and views Riley’s BFF Maya as his nemesis. He seems to be the third in their friendship trio. He feels protective over them, and likes that Riley is nice to him, and enjoys that Maya gives him a hard time.

Expect to see the pilot episode for “Girl Meets World” in the upcoming months only on Disney Channel.
