McDreamy to the Rescue: 'Grey's Anatomy' Star Patrick Dempsey Rallies for Dr. Strange Role

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star Patrick Dempsey wants to play a different kind of doctor.
Dempsey (a.k.a McDreamy) is rallying for the role of Marvel Comics’ Dr. Strange.
“There’s a whole bunch of people (among the ‘Grey’s’ crew) who are into comics and Marvel, too, on the set and they’re like, ‘Doctor Strange, that’s the one you should do.’ It would be fantastic. It’d be a great TV show, especially for HBO or something like that,” Dempsey told the L.A. Times.
In the comics, Dr. Strange was a selfish neurosurgeon who got in a car wreck that damaged his hands and prevented him from performing surgey. Looking for a cure, he turns to black magic.
