Academy award winner Matt Damon gladly responded to the request of MTV News to conduct an interview with him and talk just like his character Texas Ranger LaBoeuf in his movie True Grit or using the Matthew McConaughey accent.

Matt Damon responded to the request without a problem and said, "I would do [LaBoeuf's accent] if anyone had a ponytail [holder].”

He asked the lady staffs from behind the scene if he could borrow a pony tail, Luckily someone had one and immediately handed it to the actor. Matt Damon tied his tongue with the ponytail and said, “Ask me anything you like,” with a distinct lisp just like his LaBouef character.

In the movie, Texas Ranger LaBouef unluckily lost a part of his tongue during an incident  which resulted for him not being able to talk normal but with a lisp.

MTV News continued the interview and asked Damon why he accepted his role in True Grit. The actor explained, "Well, I'd been looking to work with directors Joel and Ethan [Cohen] for a long time.”

After answering the question, MTV News asked Matt Damon if his tied tongue hurts while talking and he answered “Yes” with a laugh. He insisted to finish the interview just like his True Grit character even if MTV told him that they could continue with the interview without his tongue tied.

Asked about how he felt being out-witted by a young girl like Hailee Steinfield in the movie, Damon answered, "I have four girls in my house, I get out-witted by them every day."

And Finally, MTV asked Damon if his home has been affected by the Justin Bieber fever, He laughed and said, "No, "We've mercifully avoided Bieber fever."
