'Marry Me' Season 1, Episode 9: 'Test Me' Recap

Everyone is buying a gift for another baby shower... this time it's for the baby of a reproduction doctor. Jake and Annie reveal that they have to suck up because they are getting their junk tested, so they have to go even though no one can seem to remember the doctor's first name.

Gil finds a weird mark on Dennah's neck and she decides to have the dcotor check it out at the party (it's just dirt).

Jake and the doctor go into the baby's room and admire it, but the doctor's talk about sperm count has Jake concerned. He begins to panic about his appointment. He tells Annie he needs to reschedule, and she can't get a straight answer out of him. He declares suddenly he will be in Detroit at that time.

She decides that the best way to see what happened is to check out the nanny cam that was in the nursery. Everyone suddenly remembers the horrible things they said about the baby that were probably caught on camera.

They run to get the tape and manage to distract the new parents long enough to plant a new nanny cam and steal the other one. Annie watches the footage and realizes what happened. She calls Jake, who is hiding with Gil pretending to be in Detroit, and begs him to come home. He admits that he worries it will be his fault if they can't have kids, because he waited so long to propose. Annie manages to reassure him.

They go to the appointment, but not being able to remember the doctor's name, they end up in a pediatrician's office. Jake goes to give his sample, and Annie realizes where they are. She tries to stop a doctor in a clown wig from unlocking the door, as Jake has headphones in and doesn't open it. It doesn't fly.

They manage to find the correct doctor, but when he realizes they don't know his name, he cancels their appointment.
