'Marry Me' Season 1, Episode 7: 'Win Me' Recap

Jake and Annie are going to meet Annie's fun cousin Scooby for dinner, as he is staying for the weekend. They meet Annie's dad's, and Kevin 1 butts heads with Annie over competing wedding concepts before Scooby makes his grand entrance.

Scooby only makes the tension between Annie and Kevin worse by pointing out the cruise ship he works on has given him only one more shore leave, so he will only make it to one wedding.

Thus begins the great showdown as each side tries to poach and suck up to Scooby. Kevin buys him a suit. Annie offers to pay his air fare. Kevin asks him to be best man. Annie asks him to officiate.

Meanwhile, Gil, who has been feeling down, is waiting to play basketball with Deenah and Kay, but both have gotten sucked into watching "Law and Order." He plays ball with some kids instead, and ends up getting a bloody nose. He wipes it on his shirt. When Deenah and Kay finally snap themselves out of their "Law and Order" haze, they go to the park and find only his bloody shirt.

Jake and Kevin 2 put their heads together to try to figure out how to defuse the situation. Jake suggests a double wedding so everyone can share Scooby. Scooby is so excited that Kevin 1 and Annie pretend to be okay with it. Jake pulls Annie aside and tells her that the first person to back out of the idea will mean Scooby is up for grabs.

Kevin 1 is onto the plan and won't back down. Annie breaks first. She and Kevin talk it out and realize they don't want to fight over something so important. Kevin asks Annie to be his flower girl, and gives her Scooby.

Dennah and Kay track down Gil playing laser tag and apologize to him for not being there. He ditches his new kid friends and goes back to where he belongs.
