'Marry Me' Season 1, Episode 5: 'Thank Me' Recap

It goes surprisingly well. Myrna wants to contibute, however. She suggests she purchase them a dining room table since they don't have one.
At the store, Gil buys cheese to bring to the dinner. His excellent palate surprises the man at the counter. He gives Gil a card and tells him to come back after hours.
Jake is pleased with how things went with his mother, but once free of her, Annie is furious. She says it's a power play. She doesn't want the table. He tells his mom never mind on the table, and she says it will be the best Thanksgiving ever. Annie takes that as a challenge.
Gil goes to the late-night "speak-cheesy" with Jake. They go in and Gil samples illegal cheeses. Security guards come in to smoke a joint and everyone thinks its a raid, and they scatter.
Annie has worked herself into a frazzle to throw together a gourmet Thanksgiving that will show Myrna that she's a force to be reckoned with. Jake makes things much worse by telling her to relax, and consult his mother if she needs help.
Jake goes to Myrna, who of course is more than happy to help. Jake finds an entire back-up dinner hidden in her kitchen. He goes home and tells Annie she was right, and Myrna is trying to undermine her. Jake tells her they need to beat his mother.
They pull an all-nighter to get the perfect dinner started. It seems like they're going to pull it off, although guests arrive and dinner won't be ready for hours. Jake decides to turn the oven up. The table they ordered arrives - and it's child sized. Everything in the kitchen bursts into flame.
Dinner is served at the tiny table and consists of the cheeses Gil has brought. One of which is made from human breast milk. The table breaks. Annie loses it. Myrna tells her that the first Thanksgiving she hosted, she gave everyone food poisoning. She says there's no one she'd rather turn Jake over to.
They eat the back up dinner Myrna has in her car.
