'Marry Me' Season 1, Episode 12: 'F Me' Recap

'Marry Me' Season 1, Episode 12: 'F Me' Recap Coming home drunk from the ballet, Jake and Annie decide to deface a notice for the building's art show by putting an "f" in front of art.

Hungover the next morning, they meet with Annie's dads, who tell her that all the RSVP's came back as yes, but that means they're about at capacity for the venue. They say if Dennah, Gil, and Kay don't bring a date, they will be fine. Only one spot remains, so one person can bring a plus-one. The Kevins decide to hold a competition and they'll choose who can bring a date.

Annie and Jake have another surprise - their prank is being considered a "hate crime," since the man running the art show has IBS. Building stuckup Julie is holding a meeting. They go, thinking no one will be taking this seriously, and find everyone is in an outrage. They decide to go to the "carefrontation" scheduled, to throw off suspicion, worried this will be their last strike and they'll be evicted.

At the carefrontation, they fall into a "trap" planted by Julie, who left Cheese Blams out (a bag of them having been discovered at the scene of the crime). Julie is onto them, and she wants them gone.

The dating competition begins, Dennah bringing her yoga instructor, Gil his ex, and Kay no one, since weddings are a great place to meet ladies. After enjoying themselves making everyone jump hoops, the Kevins decide that Kay can choose who brings a date. Later, Gil and Dennah both go to suck up to her, but find that she is secretly dating someone. They find out Kay is smitten with her girlfriend, but worried about being rejected if she invites her to the wedding. Both her friends insist she take the plus-one spot.

To try to deflect suspicion, Annie and Jake deface their own door, writing "lushes" on it. Julie sides with them, and puts suspicion on Atlas, a strange hipster who lives in the building. She decides they will evict Atlas, and Jake and Annie have a moral conflict. They finally go and confess, but Julie denies their confession. She hates them plenty but wants Atlas out more. The two feel terrible, until they run into Atlas, who is a jerk, and decide it's probably fine to just let him be booted.

Hoping to become a little friendlier with their neighbors, they volunteer to work the art show, and Kay brings her new girlfriend to meet everyone.
