Mark Wahlberg Haunted by Past Racist Incidents
by EG
Transformers: Age of Extinction Star Mark Wahlberg is being criticized for making a tribute to George Floyd. The problem is that Wahlberg has been convicted of committing racially motivated assaults in the past. Some people think that a guy who has settled a civil rights suit after allegedly throwing rocks at a group of black 4th graders while calling them the n-word shouldn't be speaking up about police violence against blacks. Mark Wahlberg has been dubbed a hypocrite after posting a tribute to George Floyd.
The “Spenser Confidential” actor, 49, called for people to “work together” to fight racial injustices, which led some followers to remind him of his assaults on minorities when he was a teenager.
“Let’s not forget that Mark Wahlberg himself almost beat an Asian man to death when he was a teenager…,” wrote one follower.
The murder of George Floyd is heartbreaking. We must all work together to fix this problem. I'm praying for all of us. God bless. #blacklivesmatter ❤🙏❤ pic.twitter.com/F3UyhT7itQ

“Hey big guy the hate crimes section on your Wikipedia page isn’t such a good look for you,” commented another, while another wrote, “No one will ever forget.”
If you still don't know what white privilege is, Mark Wahlberg committed hate crimes, has a Wikipedia section dedicated to it, and we never ever talk about it. https://t.co/9Cwmo2rWQy

In 1986, a civil rights injunction was filed against Wahlberg and other white friends after they hurled rocks and shouted racial epithets at a group of mostly black fourth-grade students while chasing them down the street, according to The Washington Post.
Two years later, a then-16-year-old Wahlberg hit a Vietnamese man in the head with a stick while trying to steal alcohol and punched another in the face while trying to avoid police. He allegedly targeted them with racist slurs during the attack.
