Marine Corps Ball Madness: 'Terminator' Star Linda Hamilton Seeks Date

The saga of the Marine Corps Ball gets weirder by the second. It all started when one bold Marine asked "Friends With Benefits" star Mila Kunis to attend the ball with him via YouTube, and Kunis accepted (at the urging of her co-star, Justin Timberlake). Then, another Marine made a video asking Timberlake to the dance, and Justin said yes.

Then, things took a turn. Sgt. Ray Lewis made his own YouTube video asking "Hot in Cleveland" star Betty White to the ball, saying that she's "funny, she's sweet, she's mature, she's the all-around perfect woman."

White, unfortunately, had to decline because of her shooting schedule (and probably because of the fact that she's almost 90 years old).

But it looks like Sgt. Lewis doesn't have to go stag: "Terminator" star Linda Hamilton has offered to accompany the Marine to the ball in Betty's stead.

"Betty called and I talked to her for hours and I know she feels terrible," said Hamilton in a YouTube video of her own. "So I just decided that I would try to reach out to you and say, 'Look, I know that I am no Betty White, but I would be really, really thrilled if you can't find anything else, and I know that it's unlikely, but if you can't find anybody else to go to the ball with you, I could go."

Actually, I think the biggest surprise for me out of all of this is that Betty White and Linda Hamilton are such good friends. Where did that come from?
