'Manhattan Love Story' Season 1, Episode 4: 'It's Complicated' Recap

David wants to know how and why Peter has not yet had sex with Dana. Peter reminds him they are taking things slow. David suggests that waiting will only make it much more difficult.

Amy has similar advice for Dana. She thinks waiting until they're in a relationship will then make it worse, if the sex is no good.

While Amy and David are out strolling together, they get into an argument over a friend's baby, which David hates. Amy reminds him that they'll be having babies in the future, unnerving him. However he confesses to Dana that he wants babies - he actually doesn't want to wait as long as Amy does. The only way to get Amy to do things is convince her that it was her own idea. Amy comes back to announce that they are babysitting the kid for the night.

Peter and Dana go to dinner, while Peter gets increasingly nervous about their inevitable bedroom romp. However, their reservation has been pushed. Dana decides they should go somewhere else to get oysters, and they see a sign on the street advertising oysters for a restaurant. They go in, without noticing the "C-" rating in the window.

Amy and David babysit little Harry, but it's not going as well as either expected. It backfires on David when Amy announces she is on his side now and doesn't want kids. She goes on an on about how great it will be to be childless, until David bursts out that he wants a ton of children. Amy was onto him the whole time, and gives him a lecture about manipulating her. They agree on waiting three years for kids.

Dana and Peter finish dinner and decide to go back to his place. As they get in a cab, Peter's stomach gurgles. They make out in the cab as Peter feels increasingly worse, but run into Chloe of her date when they get back to the apartment, as Peter lives near work and his family likes to crash from time to time. Chloe and her date leave but Peter is going downhill fast.

As Dana undresses, Peter throws up on her.

She goes to get cleaned up, thinking about how they seem to be cursed. She offers to stay with Peter to make sure he is ok. Somehow they both decide to try giving sex another go, although neither is actually interested in it. As Peter goes to brush his teeth, Dana's stomach starts making noise, and she pushes past him to go vomit.

Peter and Dana lay in bed, miserably sick, and teamwork to take care of each other. Later, as they're feeling better, Peter asks her why she stayed, and Dana said she doesn't want to miss their chance. He doesn't think they're going to miss their chance together, as he now feels closer to her than ever. They decide they're ready to give sex a try. Dana goes to brush her teeth and finds Peter's dad in the shower.

Dana decides she's ready to give up for the day, and heads home.
