'Manhattan Love Story' Season 1, Episode 10, 'The Ex Factor' Recap

'Manhattan Love Story' Season 1, Episode 10, 'The Ex Factor' Recap Dana spills ice cream on herself while at Peter's, and he tells her to go into his drawer and grab a t-shirt. She does, but while rooting around, finds an engagement ring. She freaks out.

She tells Amy it will be her second proposal in six months, surprising her friend, who did not know that ex Colin had proposed. Besides, it's way too soon to get engaged to Peter!

With William's assistant out with a broken leg, Amy steps in at the office and runs everything smoothly. In fact, so smoothly that it makes Chloe and David look bad.

Dana and Peter go on a date, and he shows her the bench that his grandmother and grandfather had inscribed. As they sit in this romantic spot, a flash mob performs. Dana loses it and says she won't say yes but she can say "maybe." She also blurts out the tidbit about her ex.

The flash mob was actually to assist the proposal of a couple right next to them. Peter explains that the ring is his grandmother's, and she gave it to him for whenever he is ready to get married. He wants to hear more about Colin's proposal...

They end up talking about ex's, and Dana says she is friends with all of her ex's, while Peter is not.

She discusses this with Amy as she answers an e-mail from Colin. Amy thinks Peter is right - one person in the friendship always wants to get back together, and in this case, it is Colin. Dana tries to think of a way to let him down nicely and end it.

Peter, on the other hand, is making a valid effort to be an adult and be friends with his ex. He calls up his last girlfriend Valorie, who is married now, but willing to have lunch with him. They have a nice boring conversation, and he thinks Dana was correct after all.

Dana goes to Peter's, and while he is in the shower, sees that he gets a text. A boob text.

Chloe and David conspire to get rid of Amy. They lie to William about her throwing away invoices, and he says they can be the ones to fire her. They chicken out of course. She calls them into "her" office (David's) and asks them what is going on, and they admit that she is making them look bad. She offers to show them how to do everything, and then resign.

Over dinner, Peter blurts out about the text, since he is also wondering if Dana saw it. They both come clean about everything, and agree that maybe being friends with their ex is not such a great idea after all.

The doorbell rings. It is Colin, there to see Dana.
