Fuller House star Lori Loughlin is reportedly waiting to ask Felicity Huffman about the two weeks that Huffman is currently spending in jail for her connection to a college bribery scheme. Loughlin hopes, sources say, that Huffman will tell her that being an inmate is a breeze. Lori Loughlin wants to know what jail is like — so she’s reaching out to Felicity Huffman to find out, according to a report Thursday.
The former “Fuller House” star is curious about how Huffman’s time in the big house is going in case she gets convicted and sentenced to prison for her alleged role in the nationwide college admissions scandal, People reported.
“She’s definitely hoping that Felicity’s time in prison will go easy for her, because that will be a positive sign that, if Lori has to serve time, that she’ll be able to weather it as well,” a source told the outlet.
“She wants to debrief Felicity after jail to find out what it was like and what her advice would be.”
Huffman, 56, reported to federal prison in California Tuesday to begin her 14-day sentence after pleading guilty to paying $15,000 to crooked college counselor William “Rick” Singer to fudge her daughter’s SAT scores.
Meanwhile, Loughlin, 55, and her fashion-designer hubby Mossimo Giannulli have pleaded not guilty to charges they forked over $500,000 to bribe their two daughters’ way into the University of Southern California as bogus rowing recruits. Their trials are expected to begin in 2020.
The actresses “weren’t really friends before” but Loughlin now “feels like their fates are tied together,” the source said.
Federal prosecutors have said said they’ll recommend longer prison sentences for Loughlin and other parents contesting the charges against them.
