Live, From New York! It's 'The Muppets' Star Jason Segel!

Live, From New York! It's 'The Muppets' Star Jason Segel! It's time to play the music! It's time to light the lights! Live from New York, and with a new movie out Nov. 23, it's Jason Segel on Saturday night!

And really, how has Segel not yet hosted? The "Freaks and Geeks" alum, "Bad Teacher" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" star and "How I Met Your Mother" mainstay makes his hosting debut alongside Grammy-nominated musical guest and avowed "Whovian" Florence Welch and her band Florence + The Machine.

Though the seventh hysterical season of "How I Met Your Mother" is in full swing, Segel's biggest fish to fry will be hyping this month's "The Muppets," the first theatrical bow for the late Jim Henson's felt-skinned progeny in 12 years.

Segel and Oscar nominee Amy Adams team up with Segels pint-sized puppet brother Walter, the World's Biggest Muppets Fan, to help Kermit and Co. raise the $10 million dollars they need to save the Muppet Theater from becoming the next oil-exploration pet project for a Texas tycoon played by Chris Cooper.

But hey, that's a little less than a week from now. In the meantime, if these promos suggest anything, the charming funny-man can wile away the hours getting flirty with the "SNL" fairer sex.
