Listen To Blue Ivy Carter's 'Recording' Debut
by Sean ComerWell, that took about as long as satirically inspected: at the prime age of two-days-old, Blue Ivy Carter - spawn of Beyonce and Jay-Z, born Jan. 7 at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital on a floor Mom and Dad allegedly shelled out $1.3 million to essentially rent out - has apparently already made her impactful recording "debut" on a collaboration with Dear Ol' Dad.
Jay-Z released "Glory" Monday afternoon to his Life and Times website, and it's a sweet ode to the newest member of the Roc-A-Fella family. Blue Ivy isn't exactly officially credited, but the track does feature someone listed as "B.I.C." and what sounds like a sampled sound of a baby crying.
The track was released with the description "Life just got REALLY good."
A little tip, sir: don't be surprised if the several Lenox Hill patients reportedly peeved that your personal baby factory's delivery and personal security detail blocked them off from the working neonatal intensive care unit where their children were receiving treatment don't exactly share that sunny outlook. In fact, don't be surprised if they go to great lengths retaining someone to tell you in no uncertain terms how "REALLY good" their Saturday night wasn't.
"The most amazing feeling I feel," Jay wraps. "Words can't describe what we're feeling for real/Maybe I'll paint the sky blue/My greatest creation was real."
Huh, imagine that. Jay-Z shells out a rumored $1.3 million so he can rent out an entire hospital floor like it's a Six Flags rollercoaster, and it's the one time he doesn't include a verse where he talks up a massive cash outlay. Go figure.
But it does include the line "There you have it, shit happens." Keep it classy, Jay. You toolbox.
