Lindsay Lohan Under Self-Imposed House-Arrest

Lindsay Lohan House ArrestFor the sake of jinxing it official....maybe it's time to believe the hype and admit that maybe Lindsay Lohan really has taken the straight-and-narrow seriously.

Lohan has endured a scare after an investigation into allegedly hitting a pedestrian then leaving the scene last week. It's with that in mind that the 25-year-old embattled "Mean Girls" and "Machete" actress has put herself under a self-imposed "lockdown" until her probation ends in just under two weeks, reports Yahoo OMG by way of TMZ.

It's a report Lohan's rep considers a tad exaggerated.

"I can tell you she is very focused on completing her community service," the flak told Us Weekly. "They made it seem like she's locked in her bedroom and is not allowed to come out for the next three weeks. Definitely not true . . . She has said she's wanted to lay low and is looking forward for all of this to be over."

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner has told the "Herbie: Fully Loaded" star that she's "in the home stretch" and "seems to be on the right track" to putting a 2010 DUI arrest and 2011 jewelry-theft charge behind her later this month.

Then a little after midnight on March 14, Lohan attempted a U-turn outside L.A.'s Hookah Lounge and reportedly grazed an employee's knee with her Porsche before driving off, according to the San Jose Mercury News. The case was closed within hours, but the 26-year-old club manager that Lohan has since denied hitting has made a hospital visit and may press some convenient charges, according to UsWeekly.

How will this all affect Lohan's ambitions to stay out of the pokey? The world will find out March 29, when she makes what could be her last - erm, relating to these charges, anyway - court appearance before Sautner.
