Lindsay Lohan Sues 'Grand Theft Auto V'

Lindsay Lohan has filed suit against Take-Two Interactive and subsidiary publisher and developer RockstarGames for their "Grand Theft Auto V," a game which came out in September.

The suit takes offense that the character of Lacey Jonas, stating that she is an "unequioval" reference to Lohan and depicts the actress right down to her clothing line and the Chateau Marmont hotel where Lohan once lived... until she was kicked out for racking up over $46,000 in unpaid bills.

"The portraits of the Plaintiff (Lohan) incorporated her image, likeness, clothing, outfits, Plaintiff's clothing line products, ensemble in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn by the Plaintiff that were for sale to the public at least two years," claims the suit.

The character, also an actress, is also followed by paparazzi, and moans about being famous.

Lindsay spoke with lawyers in December about the suit, and now seem to be going forward with it. It seems a little silly, though perhaps not surprising, that Lohan is so eager to connect herself with the character. If you check out Lacey Jonas' page, you might even feel bad for Lohan trying desperately to assert that a ditzy actress (whose line is "I'm really famous!") is "unequiovally" a portrayal of herself.

Will anything come of the suit, or is this just a frivolous cry for attention - and money? That certainly does sound like something Lacey Jonas - er, Lindsay Lohan - would be capable of.

Currently, the 28-year-old "Mean Girls" actress is in London rehearsing for David Mamet's play, "Speed-the-Plow.
