Let My Music Tell the Story: Billy Joel Cancels Book Publication

Let My Music Tell the Story: Billy Joel Cancels Book Publication Billy Joel has canceled the publication of his autobiography, even after having written a complete manuscript.

"It took working on writing a book to make me realize that I'm not all that interested in talking about the past," Joel told the AP. "The best expression of my life and its ups and downs has been and remains my music."

The book was completely ready to run with 250,000 copies until HaperCollins stopped the presses after Joel changed his mind.

“The Book of Joel” was expected to detail his career, failed marriages and a relationship with substance abuse.

The $3 million book was expeted to hit the shelves this summer.

Joel remains a six-time Grammy winner and has sold more than 150 million records worldwide.
