Is Leonardo DiCaprio Leaving Acting?

Is Hollywood staple Leonardo DiCaprio retiring from acting?

Not quite yet… but he is taking a “long, long break,” so the possibility remains that our favorite actor might decide not to return.

DiCaprio is certainly due a “long, long break” after staring in three films in two years. Big films, too.

Django Unchained,” which is garnering plenty of critical acclaim, “The Great Gatsby,” which is due out in May, and Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

“I am a bit drained,” he told German magazine Bilt. “I’m now going to take a long, long break. I’ve done three films in two years and I’m just worn out.”

So what does DiCaprio want to do with his mini-retirement? He wants to “improve the world a bit.”

Well, that’s awful sweet, DiCaprio.

“I willfly around the world doing good for the environment,” he continued. “My roof is covered with solar panels. My car is electric. A normal person does not drive more than 50 kilometres (31 miles) a day. That can be done with a plug.”

Also on the to-do list: goofing off.

DiCaprio has said, “I take what I do very seriously when I'm on the set that's all I focus on. So my vice is to hang out with my friends, talk about absolutely nothing of importance and act like a complete idiot… It's like therapy to just be a complete idiot with my friends.”

Safe bet he’ll be saving the earth and parting with friends on a pretty nice yacht.
