Lea Michele Works With PETA To Help NYC Horses

Lea Michele Works With PETA To Help NYC Horses Lea Michele is not a fan of carriage rides through Central Park. In fact, Lea is so much against them, that she joined up with PETA to create an ad to encourage others to boycott them. It might even work this time.

Lea’s ad is being shown all over, even though she specifically targets the horse carriages in New York City alone.

Can it affect their business? Will it affect the business of carriage owners in other large cities? PETA certainly hopes so.

She says in the ad via MTV:

"Imagine for a moment that you're forced to do hard physical labor all day, seven days a week—whether it's sweltering hot or freezing cold outside," she says. "At the end of the day, instead of relaxing on [an] easy chair or sleeping in a comfortable bed, you are locked in a tiny closet all night long... Don't get taken for a ride."

This isn't Lea's first time fighting against New York's carriage industry. She was also active in protecting the livelihood of horses during her Broadway days, and it looks like she is trying to put her continued popularity on "Glee" to use to make sure something actually gets done.

So we have a repeat offender here! Good for you Lea. Other stars might agree to do it once, but then forget once the attention is off of them. Lea seems to actually care about the cause and is doing something for a second time to try and make a difference! You go girl!
