Lea Michele Asks for Privacy Following 'Glee' Star Cory Monteith's Death

Lea Michele Asks for Privacy Following 'Glee' Star Cory Monteith's Death In the wake of the unexpected death of her boyfriend and "Glee" costar Cory Monteith, actress Lea Michele is asking journalists to keep a respectful distance.

A representative for the actress told various media outlets simply, "We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time."

"Glee" star Matthew Morrison also addressed the news of Monteith's death.

US Weekly reports that Morrison dedicated a performance of "What I Did for Love" to Monteith during Morrison's Sunday-night concert at 54 Below in New York City, saying as he introduced the song, "We lost a great young man too soon."

Monteith, 31, was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver on Saturday. No cause of death was immediately apparent, but investigators say they don't suspect foul play. Medical examiners will perform an autopsy today, and results should be released sometime this week.

Monteith had spent time in a rehab facility, receiving treatment for substance abuse, in April.
