Late-Night Hosts Mock Horrific Trump Robot

The late-night talk shows, including Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, couldn't help but take aim at the latest addition to Disney World's Hall of Presidents. The new animatronic Trump is more nightmare fuel than inspirational Americana.

After Disney World unveiled an animatronic Donald Trump to its Hall of Presidents, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers took a moment during Tuesday's late-night shows to point out the comical disparities between the president and the attraction's robot.

On The Tonight Show, Fallon shared some quips about the animatronic president being an influence at the amusement park. “Yeah, he’s really making an impact at Disney. Today he deported Aladdin and he gave Scrooge McDuck a tax break,” Fallon joked. “You can tell it’s Trump’s robot, because Putin’s backstage controlling it.”

Fallon also mentioned how Trump stated that he felt  “honored to be in the hall of Presidents,” whereas his robot jumbled, “Yer! I’m hernerred to ber in da Herl of Prersidernts!” Fallon then compared the robotic Trump to the statues of Lucille Ball, Cristiano Ronaldo and a courtroom sketch of Tom Brady, all of which have also received criticism over failing to be accurate depictions.

The late-night host then presented a mock commercial for Disney’s Hall of Presidents introducing Trump to their animatronic lineup. “It’s great to see all the great children here, with their tiny little hands. We’re all born with tiny hands.” the robot Trump is heard saying, before singing, “We have small hands after all.”

After the narrator encourages visitors to witness their depiction of the “most inspiring heroes,” the robot Trump jokes, “This is lame. I wanna ride the teacups.”
