Lady Gagamother: Sir Elton Makes Gaga Godmother to Son Zachary

Beneath the latex and facial horns, Lady Gaga is no different than anyone’s godmother.

She’s tolerant and upholds inclusiveness (not to mention, rocks Kermit the Frog like a pro), which is why Elton John and his partner David Furnish decided to grant her the honorary title for their new little monster Zachary.

Elton joked about the decision during his ‘Saturday Night Live’ appearance last weekend.

"For those of you concerned that we are unusual parents, don't worry," John said.

"It's not like we are the only two people involved in the child's life. His godmother is Lady Gaga. That is true. It's not a joke. Lady Gaga is his actual godmother, which is ironic, because I've always said that Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids. And Gaga loves Mars. She says Mars has good schools and great discos."

Furnish had mentioned earlier this year, that everyone could benefit from Gaga’s dedication to individuality.

“That's the best message in the world. The freedom to be who you are, do what you want and love who you want to love."

Gaga, who had been hush on the responsibility, seems to really care for children. She recently announced a personal donation of $1.5 million to Zynga’s “Save the Children” initiative in Japan.

In similiar light, John and Furnish donated the proceeds from their published photos of Zachary. Prior to adopting Zachary, John had attempted to adopt an HIV-positive toddler in the Ukraine but was turned down due to his marital status and advanced age.
