Lady Gaga Calls Society 'Ugly' Over Jabs At Her Weight

Lady Gaga Calls Society 'Ugly' Over Jabs At Her Weight It's not a one-size-fits-all world, but Lady Gaga's cool with that. She'd much rather make the world let out a few seams.

Following reports that Universal, Gaga's home label, had ordered her to "quit gorging on her favorite foods" after an order of new Born This Way Ball Tour costumes to accommodate her newly unveiled fuller figure, the Grammy winner and "Glee" tribute favorite had heard just about enough and rallied the Little Monsters, NME reported Monday.  Over the weekend, she tweeted a picture of Marilyn Monroe to her 29-million Twitter followers with a pointed dedication from the late, legendary standard bearer of honest feminine moxie and beauty.

A confessed recovering bulimic who said she fought her body-image disorder tooth and nail to stop its damage to her singing voice, Gaga admitted in a radio interview last week that she put on the 25 new pounds she proudly sports gorging on the Italian cuisine of the Italian restaurant owned by her father, Joe Germanotta.

"I used to throw up all the time in high school, so I'm not that confident. And maybe it's easier for me to talk about it now because I don't do it any more. I wanted to be a skinny little ballerina but I was a voluptuous little Italian girl whose dad had meatballs on the table every night," Gaga said.
