Kylie Jenner Addresses the Ill-Advised #KylieJennerChallenge

Kylie Jenner Addresses the Ill-Advised #KylieJennerChallenge

In news that can only be filed under "ridiculous," Kylie Jenner has finally addressed the trending hashtag #KylieJennerChallenge, which appears to be sweeping the nation.

The challenge, in which youngsters suck vigorously on a shot glass in an effort to give their own lips that Kylie-Jenner pout, is, of course, backfiring in an epic fashion. Teens have been posting photos of the results, often disastrous, to the point where the "Keeping Up With The Kardashian" teen has spoken out against the trend.

"I'm not here to try & encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look," Jenner wrote on her Twitter account. "I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look."

(Despite the implication, Jenner insists her personal puff is all-natural and enhanced by skillful application of liner and lipstick, not cosmetic surgery, injections, or, go figure, sucking on a glass until her lips beg for mercy. Consider the before/after pics of the model... I'll leave it up to you to decide.)

Dermatologists, doctors, and surgeons are quick to note that while the vacuum effect of the challenge does indeed pull fluid into the lips, the long-term effects of the challenge can involve serious pain, bruising, swelling, scarring, and permanent disfigurement. The swelling can last up to ten days.

And, If the words of the experts aren't enough to deter you, maybe a quick search of the hashtag #kyliejennerchallengegonewrong will.
