Kristen Stewart's Affair May Jeopardize 'Breaking Dawn Part 2' Press
by Sean ComerKristen Stewart's wandering heart couldn't have gone off the reservation with much worse timing.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2," the final chapter in a the Lionsgate tentpole franchise that strapped a rocket to Stewart and possibly soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson's backs, hits theaters Nov. 16. With media events hyping the vampires-versus-werewolves melodrama ramping up soon, Hollywood Life reports Pattinson doesn't want to be anywhere near Stewart after her recent on-set affair shattered his heart.
Word of Stewart getting very comfortable with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders - a husband and father himself - and Stewart's own admission to straying sent Pattinson into a tailspin last week, culminating in hisĀ expediant eviction from the pair's shared Los Angeles home. Summit Entertainment brass have since still insisted that the pair attend the "Twilight" finale's premiere together.
You could imagine about how well that's sitting with Pattinson.
"Rob is in pieces, but the 'Twilight' love triangle storyline is nothing without him and Kristen. It is eating him up that he has no choice but to see her again because of work. His humiliation is total," a source said.
In the wake of Wednesday's leak of her misstep, Stewart issued a public statement conceding, "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
Since then, Pattinson has reportedly refused to take her calls or agree to make peace privately in New York City as she's suggested they do. Their communiques have been reduced to some tense text-messaging.
It had been his adoration for Stewart that coaxed Pattinson from a notoriously private shell. In the scandal's wake, it's been emphasized that he's never cared for high public visibility, but that he's always made peace by following Stewart's lead.
"There's serious concern about the promotional tour, which is set to kick off in October," a Summit Entertainment source said. "This is a potential nightmare for all involved. Fans look forward to seeing them together during interviews. It's great publicity for the film. Robert even used to be happy to go to events with Kristen that he wasn't contractually obligated to go to, like the Teen Choice Awards last Sunday."
