Kristen Stewart Confirms New Project

Kristen Stewart has confirmed her new project for next spring.

She will be co-starring with, of all people, Ben Affleck in the upcoming comedy entitled “Focus.”

“I can confirm that rumor… It’s a comedy,” Stewart said about joining the cast. “I’m really excited about it. We start shooting in April.”

In “Focus,” Stewart will star as an inexperienced con artist. She’ll team up with the slick Affleck, who falls for her.

Sounds fun, but does anyone else think it’s going to be a little noticeable on screen that Stewart is 22, and Affleck, while always a silver stud, is 40?

The flick is written and will be directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, who crafted the delightful “Crazy, Stupid Love.”

Affleck had been open about his desire to get Stewart on board, even when she was facing some serious shunning after she scandalously cheated on “Twilight” beau Robert Pattinson.

“She’s terrific hopefully it will work out,” Affleck said, admitting that he is a big fan of Stewart.

Stewart just wrapped promotions for the record-breaking “Breaking Dawn: Part 2” and is currently touring for the Kerouac film, “On the Road.”

She says, with nothing else on her plate until next April, "I would love to find some micro-project before then, because April is kind of a ways away," she said.

So what do you think of this pairing? Will Affleck and Stewart manage any chemistry?

And can the stern-faced actress excel in a comedy? I guess only time will tell.
