Kristen Stewart on Being Topless in 'On The Road'

The approaching premiere of “On the Road” has already generated a lot of buzz. With risk-taking director Walter Salles tackling the difficult project of transmitting the great Jack Kerouac’s vision to screen, everyone has a lot to be excited for.

What else? I feel like I’m missing something important. Maybe two important somethings…

Ah yes. Kristen Stewarts’ ta-tas.

So how did the shy, quirky actress feel about baring her bosoms all up on that big screen?

Surprisingly good, she told MTV News.

"It didn't bother me…You can do no wrong with [Salles]. He puts so much inside of you. In the four-week rehearsal process, it was okay to ask any question, to bring up any story, to really overanalyze everything and intellectualize everything.

"Once we got on set, it was so about just breathing and letting it happen. He put so much trust in us… So it was like, 'OK, so I have to take my clothes off?' It's so not a big [deal]."

Slick maneuver, Silles. Wink wink.

Stewart was originally offered the role when she was just 17, but now, at 22, things are a little more… developed?

"I should have definitely been older than 17 while playing this part, absolutely… [My performance] would have been done very differently if I was younger. I wouldn't have played the part, obviously."

"I don't want this to be misconstrued in anyway, but you do want to get as close to an experience as you can," she also said. "Anything that feels guarded, in this particular movie especially, would just be so against the spirit of it."

If Stewart is “tripped out” to be a part of it, will they—I mean, it! It! The film!---live up to the hype?
