Kristen Bell Sings Songs from 'Frozen' During Hurricane Irma

If Kristen Bell couldn't get out of Florida before Hurricane Irma walloped the state over the weekend, she could at least make the best of a difficult situation for herself and the people trapped with her. Making the best of it, in this case, meant that Bell went to a shelter and sang songs from Frozen for the people hunkered down there. If you've got to get hit by a hurricane, that's the way to do it.

Kristen Bell helped brighten the mood of Hurricane Irma evacuees in Florida this weekend by doing what she does best  sharing songs.

The Frozen actress serenaded an Orlando shelter with songs from the blockbuster movie as residents sought protection from the deadly disaster.

Meadow Woods Middle School shared video of Bell singing "For the First Time in Forever."

"When #HurrcaneIrma is at your heels, there's only one thing to do: get to a shelter, grab a mic and SING," Bell tweeted, also writing, "When youre #singinginahurricane, your volunteer back up dancers can & will steal the show. Richard and Rebecca everyone!"

The actress and singer wrote that she "didn't have the option to leave" Orlando, as she is currently filming there.

More than 175 multiplexes in Florida — nearly every major cinema — closed in advance of the storm, which slammed into the Florida Keys on Sunday morning and is expected to unleash widespread damage as it barrels up the west coast of the state. More than 6 million people have been evacuated.

By midday Sunday, one Hollywood studio executive said there was almost no one going to the cinema in the entire state, save for a few areas in northern Florida on the Georgia border.

Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema are waiting to see how much the catastrophic storm impacts It, the supernatural horror film that opened to record-shattering numbers this weekend. Warners' Sunday estimate for the film is $117.2 million, while rival studios put the figure at $122 million-$123 million.
