Kristen Bell to Cameo on 'Gossip Girl'

Will we finally meet the actual “Gossip Girl?” And will it be who we’re expecting?

Kristen Bell, who is expecting her first child with fiance Dax Shepard, has narrated the show for six seasons.

As it wraps to a close, Bell has been seen taping a cameo appearance for the finale episode, which airs December 17.

There has been no confirmation yet on whether Bell will be stepping in as her snarky voice-over character, the mind behind the blog, or if she’ll be playing another unrelated character.

In October, “Gossip Girl” announced that they would be revealing the blogger’s identity in the finale, entitled “New York, I Love You XOXO.”

Is Bell feeling a bit forlorn about the conclusion of the series? Friday, she tweeted a photo of herself in the voiceover booth, captioned. “The saddest day I’ve had in a while…Last day on #gossipgirl I’ll miss you, you snarky bitch!”

Bell has addressed the idea of appearing on the show before, saying, I certainly would if they asked me. It really depends on how the characters unfold and if they want to villainize someone or give someone the champion stick of being Gossip Girl in the end other than me. Die-hard fans know it’s me, but I think normal people who watch the show care a lot more about the characters they see every week. There’s a lot of variables."
