Is Kim's Divorce Dividing The Kardashian Family?

Is Kim's Divorce Dividing The Kardashian Family? Somebody flash the Kim-signal to the sky and alert the nearest "Keeping Up with The Kardashians" camera crew: the Kardashians could be heading into a pow-wow over Kim's divorce from easy-come-easy-divorce hubby Kris Humphries.

Hollywoodlife.com reports that the family has found itself at odds over the split after 27 days of marriage between the famous-because-she's-famous sibling and her NBA ex.

A source has been spreading word around the campfire that the family has split between those very miffed with Kim and those defending what Kim has called a mistake of a marriage, and "crisis meetings" could be on the way.

Those on Kim's side are apparently blaming Kris for encouraging the dud of a marriage - which has since emerged as the latest snarky comeback from the LGBT community to right-wing arguments about gay nuptials killing the "sanctity" of the institution.

"Encouraged by her mom, Kris, Kim has become a fame-addicted, money-hungry monster," the source said. "She has lost touch with reality."

That same source also claims Kim's sister Khloe is put-out at how Kim is making a public sympathy play over the whole thing.

The voice of reason? Very possibly, Kim's grandmother Mary Jo. She's suggesting that her granddaughter spend a good two years away from reality television for the sake of clearing Kim's head.

"She has been urging Kim to do this ever since she filed for divorce from Kris," the same source claimed. "She thinks reality TV is destroying (Kim's) life. Divorcing him so soon after such an expensive wedding, done in front of TV cameras, could well be the kiss of death for the whole family's career."

OK, gnash your teeth all you like at calling what the Kardashians do a "career." Just to recap, Kris is the widow of one of America's most successful, well-known attorneys. She re-married a former Olympian. Even Kris' son Rob has a University of Southern California education. Did no one at any point between the late Robert Kardashian, Sr. and Bruce Jenner establish some sensible definition of "work?"

Well, one could say Kim's kind of, sort of trying. Though Tyler Perry fans are threatening a boycott over her role in it, Kardashian will appear in Perry's film "Marriage Counselor," which is still filming.
