Paris to Kim Kardashian: 'I am the original'

Paris Hilton, the first celebutante to rise to fame just for being famous, is giving credit where she sees it is due.

Which is to herself, of course.

“I am the original,” she told The Associate Press Tuesday. “So there’s nothing like me.”

Reporters have been questioning the 30-year-old socialite on whether or not she feels other reality queens, like Kim Kardashian, have cramped her style.

While speaking to reporters in Mexico, Hilton, who was promoting her shoe line, claims she has reached all her professional goals.

According to The Daily Mail, Hilton has been given credit for teaching Kim Kardashian the "It Girl" ropes.

As Kim’s celebrity grew, unfortunately, the two friends grew apart.

Hilton will have the opportunity to reignite her reality television status with her upcoming Oxygen show, “The World According to Paris.” The show is ready to kick off this spring, though a premiere date has not yet been announced.

Hilton says fans will get a look at the real Paris, who is much different than the character she made up for “The Simple Life.”
