Kim Jung-Un: 'The Interview' is an Act of War

We had previously reported that North Korean leader Kim Jung-un was not taking kindly to the upcoming film "The Interview."

Apparently, he's even more bent out of shape than we realized. A North Korean foreign ministry spokesperson is now saying that releasing the movie, which stars Seth Rogan and James Franco, would be seen as an "act of war."

The film, in which Franco and Rogan are recruited by the U.S. to kill Jung-un (played by Randall Park) during a rare interview opportunity, is not mentioned specifically by the spokesperson.

However, unless Jung-un really hates "The Hunger Games" (maybe he's a loyal "Divergent" fan?) it's not hard to figure out which flick has riled him.

The spokesman was quoted by the state KCNA news agency as saying, "Making and releasing a movie on a plot to hurt our top-level leadership is the most blatant act of terrorism and war and will absolutely not be tolerated."

He adds that "the reckless U.S. provocative insanity" of using a "gangster filmmaker" has inspired a "gust of hatred and rage" among the North Korean people. He calls releasing the film a "wanton act of terror."

"If the U.S. administration allows and defends the showing of the film, a merciless counter-measure will be taken," the spokesman said.

Well. We knew it wouldn't take much to set North Korea on the warpath, but who would have thought a Rogan/Franco buddy comedy would be the straw to break the camel's back?
