Kim Jong-un Slams 'The Interview'
by Shannon KeirnanNot everyone is appreciative of the comedy/bromance duo that is Seth Rogan and James Franco.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has (unofficially) expressed particular irritation with their upcoming flick, "The Interview."
Probably with good reason - the film's premise centers around a talk show host and his producer who are recruited to kill Jong-un after they score a rare sit-down interview.
"There is a special irony in this storyline as it shows the desperation of the U.S. government and American society," said Kim Myong-chol, executive director of the Center for North Korea- U.S. Peace, and an unofficial spokesperson for Jong-un.
"A film about the assassination of a foreign leader mirrors what the U.S. has done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Ukraine," he adds. "And let us not forget who killed (President John F.) Kennedy - Americans. In fact, President Obama should be careful in case the U.S. military wants to kill him as well."
The film, which premieres in October, features Randall Park playing the character of Kim Jong-un, as Rogan and Franco bumble through their hit attempt. You can check out the trailer below and decide for yourself if Jong-un is just being sensitive.
