Kendall Jenner Apologizes for T-Shirt Controversy
by EG
While Kendall and Kylie Jenner's apology for defacing vintage tees bearing the likeness of the late Biggie Smalls with their own airbrushed mugs is "appreciated," it has not been fully accepted.
After Kendall posted an apologetic note on Twitter, in which she stated that the offending merchandise and all images had been removed from her brand's site and social media accounts, Notorious B.I.G.'s estate released the following statement to Billboard: “While we appreciate that the Jenners have made an apology and pulled the unlawful and unauthorized items, this matter has yet to be resolved.”
The social media hate storm began raining down on the sisters on Wednesday after their eponymous fashion label began selling vintage shirts featuring Tupac Shakur, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and other artists plastered with the Jenners' own faces and initials. Apparently, they didn't ask before they slapped their Kendall + Kylie tag on the copyrighted artwork.
