Kelsey Grammer's Expensive Divorce Details

Kelsey Grammer’s got 50 million reasons why he should stay married. Except that none of them matter to him anymore it seems! Kelsey has split from his wife Camille and it seems they never signed a pre-nup!

You know what that means in California – everything earned during the marriage is split 50/50.

Even though Kelsey didn’t have much when they married, Camille knew how and where to invest the money he did have. Friends credit her with building his fortune to over $100 million, his estimated worth right now.

According to TMZ:

We're told during their 13 years of marriage, the couple amassed a fortune in excess of $100,000,000.  Much of it was invested in real estate. They have homes in the Holmby Hills area of L.A., Malibu,  Hawaii, the Hamptons, New York City and Colorado. 

Our sources say when they married Kelsey was strapped for cash, but turns out Camille is savvy in the business department and taught Kelsey a thing or two along the way. One person familiar with their finances says, "They made a lot of smart decisions. They were really a good team."

So, if you were a smart man, why wouldn’t you want at least some kind of a pre-nup? Did he think since he was cash poor, he wouldn’t lose much because he didn’t have it in the bank? I guess he learned that lesson the hard way.

It also appears that he is willing to sign away the $50 if Camille agrees to get the divorce papers signed fast. Kelsey is in a hurry to marry his latest fiancé Kayte Walsh. She probably wants to have a baby soon, since she is nearing the 30 mark and had a miscarriage earlier in the year.

Hopefully Kelsey will sign a pre-nup with this one so he has a little bit of cash left for his retirement.
