Katy Perry Slams Meghan Markle's Wedding Dress

American Idol judge Katy Perry made no secret of the fact that she didn't like new British Royal Meghan Markle's wedding dress, suggesting that the simple, elegant gown was ill-fitting. Given Perry's tendency to dress up in over-the-top outfits of questionable taste, we're not sure that anyone should look to her for opinions about a tastefully elegant gown.

After Saturday’s royal wedding, the “American Idol” judge was asked Sunday about Meghan Markle‘s Givenchy gown worn for the actual ceremony at St George’s Chapel.

“I would have done one more fitting,” Perry told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m never not going to tell the truth! One more fitting, but I love you!”

Designed by Britain’s own Clare Waight Keller, the sleek silhouette featured an open bateau neckline and slim three-quarter sleeves, additionally emphasizing the slender sculpted waist, according to Kensington Palace’s official release.

Perry, 33, stated she preferred the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown worn by Middleton for her 2011 wedding to Prince William.

“Kate, Kate, Kate won, Kate won!” the singer exclaimed.

Following the first, 600-person reception at Windsor Castle, Markle, 36, debuted a second look for the more intimate gathering at Frogmore House later in the evening, wearing a bespoke Stella McCartney high neck white gown in silk crepe.
