Katy Perry Joins Grammys for First US Post-Split Performance

Everything about Katy Perry's split with Russell Brand has been done as incognito as possible. The announcement itself, for example, came just a couple of days before New Year's Eve, all but ensuring that the smallest number of people would find out about it immediately.

Since then, Perry has been fairly shy of the media and the public, going so far as to cancel her appearance at the People's Choice Awards, where she was nominated and set to show.

However, Perry's first public performance in the States has just been set: she will be performing at this year's Grammys. The show, which airs on February 12th, will also feature performances from Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, the Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney and others, including the triumphant return of Adele.

In addition to the performance, Perry is also nominated for two Grammy awards for Record of the Year and Pop Solo Performance, both for her single "Firework."
